Dr. Ankita Mishra is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Allied Health Science at Maha Mahayogi Gorakhnath University,
Dr. Mishra holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (I.T.S Paramedical College), Uttar Pradesh (2007), and an M.Sc. in Plant Biotechnology from Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat (2011). She was awarded a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology from the same university in 2016 and has also cleared the ARS-NET (Biotechnology) in 2015. She has two years of teaching experience and has specialized in areas such as Biotechnology, Plant Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Tissue Culture, and Genetic Transformation.
The subjects she teaches include Biotechnology and Human Welfare, Human Values and Environmental Studies, and Environmental Biotechnology. She has published research in peer-reviewed journals, including a notable article as the first and corresponding author: "Genetic diversity analysis of rice germplasm in Gujarat state of India using simple sequence repeat markers," published in the Journal of Rice Research (2019). Additionally, she co-authored Chapter 14, titled "High-Throughput Phenotyping: Potential Tool for Genomics", in the book OMICS-Based Approaches in Plant Biotechnology (Wiley, USA, 2019).
Dr. Mishra has participated in six national and two international conferences. She has been actively involved in administrative tasks, including serving as an academic coordinator for postgraduate programs, being a member of the purchasing committee for lab equipment, and organizing laboratory protocols to ensure efficient operations. She has also conducted seminars and interactive academic sessions to promote knowledge sharing.
Her affiliations include membership in the Society for Agricultural Research and Rural Development (SARR). Among her additional achievements is receiving the DOEACC certificate from the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.
